Blessed //

The title says it all and this week has really been a happy week witnessing many blissful events in life and I feel so so so happy for my friends! Witnessing all these events really makes me realise how fast time is passing by before we know it! It's like I just finished o levels and I'm now turning 20 years old this year alrdy! How fast can time past????? And I just came back from dinner with my secondary school friends, and then we were talking about things that happened in secondary school and I can't imagine that 3 years has passed since we graduated! Really thankful that we still keep in touch though ;) 

Back to topic! On Friday night, I met Dharshiney for lunch and to buy Weihao's present! We went for lunch at Maison Ikkuko I think, it's somewhere near Arab street, within walking distance from bugis station. So we took some time to find the cafe but when we reached it was already crowded! So we waited for awhile and got the sofa seat hehehe. The cafe was quite small but it makes it more cozy but also abit squeezy at the counter area! Just nice we were seating in front of the counter so yuppp, a lot of oeople passing by and stuffs~~

The name of the restaurant sounds so Japanese by actually has nothing to so with Japanese food at all!

That's the menu! I find it quite reasonably priced and there's a discount for lunch time when you order drinks! $5 discount when you order drinks during lunch time so it really makes the drinks quite cheap!!!

Yepppp seating right beside the counter! And look at the huge selection of cakes displayed but they don't taste as good as they look! More on that later~~

The coffee making area just beside the fridge with the cakes! And they actually sell this coffee making equipments! They are all placed on shelfs at the wall behind! Quite cool cos I've never seen cafés that sells actual coffee making equipments! In the menu they also show different methods of making coffees! Looks quite like the experiments we do in school! 

They have this lighting on the walls making quite a nice ambience to the whole cafe! That's Dharshiney in the picture hehehe 

Dharshiney ordered vanilla latte while I ordered caramel latte, looks the same though! 

Dharshiney ordered the pasta of the day which is some mushroom pasta and it was quite nice! Simple but quite flavorful! 

My love for smoked salmon made me ordered salmon florentine again! But this time it wasn't as nice as the one I had at stranger's reunion! The smoked salmon were still passable, and they were rather creative in adding watermelon balls to this dish! But the lead of this dish being the eggs Benedict was a total disappointment! The eggs was like already three quarter cooked, only the enter of then egg yolk had watery yolk in it, the rest of it was already cooked!! But at least the hollandaise sauce was nice so the whole dish wasn't exactly that bad.

And time for dessert, and oh boy, Dharshiney and I was quite disappointed when we had our first bite of the cake! The Neapolitan cake just tasted like normal sponge cake we can get in bakeries outside! And see that strawberry lying on top of the cake? It's looks so anyhowly done! The exterior of the cake looked super nice but the interior disappointed us, the cream tasted good though. And for $8, then serving of the cake is actually quite big and they way they actually decorated the plate and served it was a plus point. 

Look at the nice colour of the cake from the side view! Too bad it didn't taste that nice! The cake itself was just too dry, we should have chosen another cake!! 

I think we spend like close to 3 hours at the shop chatting and eating then we finally decided to go and buy weihao's present! We walked around and considered many choices! Finally foud the right wallet at BHG for Weihao! Hope he uses it soon! It's a gold lion wallet and the quality is not bad one!! And also bought a Korean book for him cos Dharshiney said that he was very into learning Korean! I must say we were quite efficient so we finished buying the stuffs! We walked around bugis street then went to bras basah and walked around then walked to city hall mrt and parted ways! 

Then I went to meet Siqi and Qiyan for dinner! We went to eat bai mee fen and I find it okayokay only, the oter dishes we ordered were nice tough! And the price is also not that expensive! 

We ordered these and the bill came to $30 only! Each person pay $10! Not bad right! 

Then we wanted to sing k but Teoheng would be fully booked by then so we went back to northpoint party world! And that night we really havoc cos we sang for 4 hours straight from 9pm to 1am! Really is shiok one!!! Only reached home at 2am!!

Been so long since I hang out with these two and I can't help but think of the times we always hang out together after school! Secondary school times are indeed the best times of my life and secondary school friends really are friends that last a lifetime!!

Anyway wanted to blog about weihao's birthday and heyu's wedding but I guess I will leave that for the next post!! Going YJC CVD tmr! Not bad! Feeling quite excited for tmr :)))))
