SEA Games volunteer!!

So in June, Michelle and I volunteered for SEA games!!! Supposed to be a few of us volunteering together but then end up only 2 of us!! But we had fun nevertheless!! We actually volunteered for the victory ceremony team, which is quite special cos we have our own uniform and we get to see all the athletes and VIPs! We have a few roles and I was a presenter escort while Michelle was an athelete escort! Basically the roles are quite self explanatory lah right, we just do the things you see people do during victory ceremonies on TV! Hahaha

With our Victory ceremony team pass, we can actually go for free entries to venues where there are still empty slots! So we went for synchronized swimming before our first official shift started! 

Definitely a good experience watching it life! It's really amazing how the swimmers can perform the moves so nicely and still look so elegant!! 

My SEA games pass!! And apparently we can go to all venues cos some other volunteers with others roles can only enter their assigned venue! 

This was taken after my super early first shift which was at 6.30am! And actually it's quite a waste of time cos we report at 6.30am only when we are needed at 9am!

This sea games experience was a good one cos I really managed to meet people from all walks of life and it's really nice to see so many people coming together to help to volunteer! Also it was nice appearing on TV and escorting the presenters cos you really get to talk to the VIP!! And we also got to see the winners up close so it was really COOL!!

And it's was really nice to join it with Michelle cos we really entertain each other during the endless waiting for our duties!!!

This post was supposedly to be posted earlier but it was laying in my draft!!! Anyway, had a super busy past few weeks!!! And I can't believe school is starting!!! 

Anyways, this holiday I spent super a lot of time with my NYA!! Tanya Ng!! Hahaha can't believe we seriously can do everything together and meet everyday and not get bored of each other!!  Hahahaha

Went trekking at macritchie the other day and it's was super fun!! Wasn't that tiring but good that we reached the tree top and had picnic near the top!!

After that we went back to Tanya house to bake cheesecake!!

Then we went USS one night cos I had free tickets to USS, it's SEA games volunteer appreciation night! Michelle can't go with me so I went with Tanya!

We only went to ride the blue and red roller coasters and mummy ride!!! Then after that we came out and bought more food!!!

This was during another where we went cycling!! Decided to cycle to seletar Dam!! But before that we went to play playground near my grandma place!

This was the other time when we met for basketball with Yilin and Jessie!! Hehehehe so fun to meet them!!! It was also the day I injured myself but it was super funny with them!

ART SCIENCE MUSEUM!!

Then one of the days in June I went to the arts science museum with Shaheera!! 

Our main purpose was to go to dreamworks exhibition but we decided to go for the package which includes all exhibition cos it was cheaper and the price was very reasonable!! 

I find the exhibition rather worth it cos they really show how they come up with the various scenes, their actual drawings, the production and many stuffs at the back  end which we seldom get to see

All the drawings were super niceeee!!

There were also figurines of the different characters!!

There were also storyboards for the various movies!!

Then there's this how to train your dragon show which is also super cool!!! Like its dark room and there's a screen that's almost as big as a semicircle and they make the film like 3D which was super nice!

After dreamworks, we went to the second exhibition which was some deep sea exhibition, explaining all the creatures found in the super deep seaaaaa

I wasn't very interested in this exhibition cos there literally chunks and chunks of words to read at the description for the various creatures! Some of the creatures looked quite interesting but I was to lazy to read it Hahahha!

Then we headed for the last exhibition which was the prudential art exhibition! And it was super nice!! Cos we can see the art pieces up close and its art pieces from various countries and there's work from local artists as well! 

The amount of details on the art piece really makes the art piece so precious!! Can imagine the amount of time they put in

So basically we just spent our whole day at the art science museum then we went to coffee bean for pancakes and cakes since there was one for one!! 

After that we spent some good time in coffee bean just chatting about everything then we took train back! Always a good time with this xiao meimei of mine!! :)
